Corteo is one of the most beloved touring productions by Cirque du Soleil, celebrated worldwide for its poetic storytelling and richly theatrical design. We were contracted to execute the scenic art for its arena revival — an adaptation of the original production scaled for large-format venues while preserving its intimate, operatic atmosphere.

Designed in the spirit of a classic Italian opera and conceived by renowned French scenic designer Jean Rabasse, the production blends romance, nostalgia, and spectacle. It was a privilege to contribute to a show of such visual depth and international acclaim.

Our scope included the complete scenic finishing of all acrobatic apparatus across every act. This encompassed detailed painting of performance equipment, acrobatic mats, and specialty elements — each treated to integrate seamlessly into the show’s antique, dreamlike aesthetic while meeting the durability demands of touring arena performances.

In addition, we carried out extensive scenic work on stage elements, ensuring visual continuity between the performance environment and the performers’ equipment. Every surface required a balance of theatrical illusion, texture control, and resilience suitable for repeated transport, assembly, and live performance.

The result was a cohesive scenic environment that supported both the athletic intensity and the lyrical tone of this iconic production — a project that remains a highlight within our scenic and decorative arts portfolio.
