We created custom-painted backdrops for a photography advertising campaign for a major Quebec television network.
The backdrop was executed on lightweight muslin fabric and required a carefully controlled painted texture. The design intent was to produce a dynamic surface that would respond differently under varying lighting conditions.
Through selective layering and finish control, we achieved areas that read as matte while others subtly reflected light with a soft gloss. This interplay allowed the backdrop to shift visually depending on how it was lit, giving the production team flexibility and depth within the same surface.
The result was a versatile scenic element engineered specifically for the demands of professional photography and broadcast production.
